WEAR LOCAL: FRANK POP UP-STORE
Organized and co-ordinated FRANK pop up-stores at FRANK Gallery&Studios. Me and colleagues at FRANK Gallery&Studios felt there was lacking opportunities for small business owners and creators to showcase their own products locally. FRANK POP UP aimed at creating opportunities for local designers in fashion and accessories to showcase, promote and sell their products.
SEMINAR: Art, Science and Environment
21 Nov 2018
In science, as well as in art, our human means of perception and the limits of our ability to observe, understand and express the reality we live in are investigated. In our time, the questions of how we are to achieve a sustainable development – and deal with the immense environmental challenges facing the world and humankind – are burning topics for scientists and artists alike. At the seminar on 21 November, we will explore these interfaces between art and science. Jonas Alwall, sociologist and lecturer at Malmö University, and Linnéa Havsfjord Lindgren, with a background in art as well as environmental studies, will lecture and lead a discussion with the audience. Co-operator: Malmö University.
WORK SHOP ORGANIZER: SVALORNA INDIA BANGLADESH
Organized workshops focusing on mending and upcycling clothes bought at Svalorna's own second hand store, or that people brought in to store themselves. While helping people mend their own garments and showing ways of making their clothes last longer, also started conversations about garment worker's rights and environmental issues surrounding garment production.
CLOTHES SWAP: MALMÖ KLIMATFESTIVAL
Organized clothing swap at Malmö's first climate festival, a festival that focuses on sustainable solutions and how culture can be a part in the transition towards a sustainable society.
